MFC Playgroups deliver 5 Playgroups across the Mildura, Merbein and Red Cliffs area and is funded through the Department of Social Services- Children and Parenting Support grant. The primary purpose of the playgroups is to provide play-based activities for young children and support parents/carers to build their capacity as their child’s first educator. Playgroups are universal but aim to support families experiencing complexity and or disadvantage. The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate playgroup sessions that support children’s wellbeing and development. This role also requires supporting other playgroup staff to ensure the program meets children’s needs.
The MyTime program is facilitated peer support groups for parents and carers of a children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition. The Early Childhood Educator supports the MyTime Facilitator by planning and engaging children with developmentally appropriate play activities enabling parents and carers to participate freely in group discussions.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Early Childhood qualification or a relevant qualification with experience and passion working in the early years space, ready and wanting a change in your work.
  • A current driver’s licence, a willingness to travel and preparedness to be accommodated overnight when required.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Accreditation or willingness to complete.
