The Team Leader Family Relationship Centre is a highly experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) who provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure quality and outcomes-focussed FDR services within the Family Relationship Services broader team.
 
As part of our multi-disciplinary family law services team, the Team Leader FRC works collaboratively with the Team Leader Counselling, Team Leader Children’s Contact Services and Post Separation Cooperative Parenting Program, to provide integrated support to adults and children impacted by family separation. The suite of services aims to assist families, couples, individuals, and children through the provision of Family Dispute Resolution, Counselling, Group Work, Post Separation Cooperative Parenting, and Children’s Contact Services.

Reporting to the Manager Family Relationship Services, the Team Leader FRC oversees the day-to-day operations of the FRC. They will engage with the team to effectively manage professional
development and supervision plans to build a strong team of FDRP’s. They will drive initiatives that promote change and strive for best practice in the FRC. They will carry a small caseload of complex clients from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to community welfare practice, i.e., Social Work, Psychology, Social Science with experience in counselling and family dispute resolution.
  • Accredited and registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney Generals Department.
  • To have a broad understanding of relevant legislative requirements as they relate to this field of practice for example, family law, child support, child protection and family violence.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • A willingness to travel and preparedness to be accommodated overnight when required.
