Public Housing Report
The current climate emergency is driving more severe periods of extreme heat, increasing the vulnerabilities of those living in public housing without adequate cooling. However, no new policy changes have been made since 1997 addressing the need for cooling in Victoria’s public housing. This study identifies the impacts of living with extreme heat in public housing without airconditioning on the health and wellbeing of public housing residents.
